Doctor Pia Broderick

Associate Professor Pia Broderick is an academic and professional clinical psychologist. Her research interests focus on psychosocial and emotional development of children, ranging over the influence of early attachment patterns, parenting styles, peer interactions and school readiness. She was a Chief Investigator on the ARC-Industry Linkage project 'Enhancing the Content and Experience of Interactive Children's Television' (2003-2005), supervising Anna Hynd's PhD research. A/Prof. Broderick has several book chapters on the perceptual-motor skills of children's drawing and has made numerous presentations at symposiums and conferences of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australasian Human Development Association. A/Prof. Broderick works extensively with children and families in a clinical psychology practice.
